It is definitely a gift to be so calm and cool in the kitchen. I surely am NOT! You really captured her talent and the art of making food. Congrats to you for being a part of everything!

My god, woman, you write beautifully. I found myself experiencing the sway of emotions as you took us along on your experiences at Pebble Beach. Those shots are pretty sweet, too. How the hell did you find the time to take them? We had a shoot with Michael this last week and he allowed himself a little glimmer as he shared that LA beat SF in the Michelin taste-off. After barely spending a breath on his and the other chef's dishes, he couldn't stop talking about Nancy's desserts. We were brimming with pride knowing our Brooke was in the middle of it. Thanks for the beautiful story. T.

I just e-mailed my friend a link to this post with the note, "I am going nuts over this blog!"<br /><br />I've been absolutely smitten with Nancy Silverton ever since my first visit to Pizzeria Mozza in winter 2007, and thoroughly enjoyed reading your account of working with her up in Pebble Beach. It is so nice to hear that she is not only an incredible chef, but an incredible lady as well.
